Mr Ratnam Vimalendran

Mr Ratnam Vimalendran (Retired Accountant) passed away peacefully at home on 10th April 2026 in Croydon. He was the beloved husband of Mrs Ratnapoopathy Vimalendran (Ratna).
Loving father of Dr Vijitha Luxman (Viji) and Dr Vimalendran Ratheesh. Cherished father-in-law of Dr Kanagarajah Luxman.
He was a devoted grandfather to Anesh, Asiya, and Rian.
He was the son of the late Mr Sabapathy Ratnam and the late Mrs Sivayogmalar Ratnam of 1st Milepost, Uduvil.
He was the dearly loved brother of the late Mr Thillainadesan, the late Mrs Sugirthamalar (Pathma), the late Mr Sambasivam, the late Dr Paramathasan, the late Mr Mahedevan, and Mrs Indranee Jayapathy (Canada).
He was the son in law of late Mr Sinnathamby Kandiah and Late Mrs Sellamma Kandiah, Urelu. Mr Vimalendran was one of the original commitee members involved in the establishment of Highgate Murugan Temple, serving as assistant treasurer for 25yrs. He was one of the founder members of Skanda Varodaya College Old Students' Association (UK). He remained a patron of the latter, dedicating much of his life to raising funds for the school, supporting the education of younger generations. He came to the United Kingdom in 1975 to complete his accountancy studies at North London Polytechnic, and went on to work as an accountant across various firms. He retired in 2012 following the birth of his second grandchild.
